Sign Up Policies


Automatic Re-enrollment Scheduling

Once a student has been enrolled into a class, the student will be automatically re-enrolled into that class for the following month.  If the student is ready to move up to the next swimming level, the parent will be informed at the pool and you can come into the office to arrange for the proper level class.  The student will stay in the same class (and be taught at the appropriate level) until arrangements to be moved have been made.  If the student will not be swimming during the following month, the student must be withdrawn from the class by the 15thof the month before.  For example, a student swimming during August but who does not plan to swim in September must be withdrawn from the class by Aug. 15 in order to avoid being charged for the September classes.  The parent’s credit card will be automatically charged on the 1stof each month.  


Registration Fee

A $20.00 non-refundable registration fee per child will be added to the cost of the first month in each calendar year.
 

Payments

Upon registering for a class,you will be asked to pay for the month in which you signed up for. After your first month with us you will automatically be charged on the 1st of each month for your upcoming scheduled classes. This will include being automatically prorated for any days not available in that month due to holidays, or regular monthly changes in dates. We do have an annual fee of $20 that will be billed to your account post registration.
 

Refunds

No refunds will be given for any reason. Once we have reserved a spot for you in a class, that spot is considered “sold” and is no longer marketable.  When scheduling classes, it is your responsibility to make sure that vacations, appointments, and health concerns do not interfere with the lessons for which you have enrolled.  Payments cannot be transferred from one family to another family. 
 

Withdrawing From Classes

Student Absences (Make-up Policy)

Here at Sunshine we realize that things happen. Life is full of changing circumstances that may interfere with your normal daily schedule. We have adopted a make up policy to give you some of the flexibility that you deserve! Its simple, for whatever number of classes you are signed up for during the week, you are allowed that in make ups per month. For example: if you are taking 1 class per week you get 1 make up per month, 2 classes per week=2 make ups per month. Its that simple. Make ups will stay on your account for one calendar year from the day the make up occurred. Swim Team is the only program this does not apply too since we do not offer make ups for that program at this time. We can never guarantee a make up can be schedule by certain deadlines since it is a scheduling process that involves changing circumstances and availability. We will, to our best abilities try to accommodate your schedule as much as possible.
 

Class Cancellations by Sunshine Swim School

If we have to cancel class for any reason (such as lightning), we will issue you a “Monsoon Make-up Coupon”, each good for one full class credit, or you will be scheduled for one of our “Monsoon Make-up” days.   Please do not assume lessons are cancelled if it is raining.  We will hold all classes unless there is danger presented by lightning, as is common during the summer monsoons.  In an effort to provide our families with the times for which they are registered, lessons will not be cancelled any earlier than 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the class time.  Every effort will be made to contact you of any cancellations as soon as possible!  Thank you for your understanding.
 

Instructor Requests

We understand that once your child finds a teacher with whom he or she is comfortable, you may want to continue with that teacher.  We will try our best to accommodate your request, however we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned the instructor that you request.  We do not notify you if there is a teacher change or if the request cannot be granted.  If the teacher is available, the first person requesting the teacher is assigned to that teacher.  Because all of our teachers are excellent, we feel confident that your child will improve equally well with any of our teachers.  In fact, we feel that it may benefit your child to take lessons from a variety of instructors since each one has a unique style to offer.
 

Teacher Absences

We schedule our instructors to avoid any unnecessary staff absences, however, at times, a teacher may be unavoidably absent.  Should your instructor be absent, we will provide an extremely competent substitute.  If your instructor is absent more than once, we will attempt to provide the same substitute as during previous absences.  In the extreme case when no substitute can be provided, we will arrange a make-up lesson or issue a coupon worth the full price of a class.
